DeSean is a special needs child from north Memphis who suffers from Prader-Willi Syndrome. This genetic disorder causes several health issues and as a part of his treatment regimen he does therapy at LeBonheur Children's Hospital.
In spring 2021 My Town Miracles was presented with an opportunity to bless DeSean with a life-changing adaptive therapy bike. These three-wheeled bikes allow children like to DeSean to develop muscle, improve motor skills, build self-confidence, and give him the simple joy of riding a bike.
Since each bike is specially made for each patient they come with a high price tag. We praise God that He has put My Town Miracles in a position to help families get access to these kind of medical mobility devices.
We're grateful for corporate community partners, such as, Alston Construction in Collierville who stepped up to help cover the cost of DeSean's bike.
We also celebrate the devotion of DeSean's grandmother and caregiver. Her steadfast faith in God is an encouragement to us as we strive to share the love of Christ with the families impacted by our mission.
